FocusTime

FocusTime is an Open Source project that helps you stop wasting time on your computer.

There are other tools out there that do this, but we think ours is better because it’s based on an idea that is so simple, it always works – people avoid doing things that will get them in trouble.

How Does It Work?

FocusTime is a set of Windows PowerShell scripts that you turn on when it’s time to focus on work, study, or other important projects. The FocusTime scripts monitor your internet and application usage locally (no information ever leaves your computer, your privacy is safe!)

If FocusTime catches you wasting time during your FocusTime session, it will automatically send an alert to your pre-configured accountability partner, who is then responsible for punishing you for wasting time.
